Picture of imperfection

A road nowhere.
I drive to hit the curb.
With greener grass and trees,
Away from what is known.

A yellow lemon wall,
I chipped the paint away
Regretted what I'd lost
Wanted what was already there.

A heart shaped candy,
Broken to three pieces,
It tastes just as sweet
As was it when was whole.

It's a simple mess.
But some things stay the same.
Underneath it all
Are beautiful.
Unbreakable to stay
