What is a whisper, droned out in a buzzing-
Of a city, where cars hit concrete solid roads?
It trails within incoherent noise, made by many vocal chords
Where senseless lives make sense by chasing reality
But reality is confined to a window
Where perception beyond its border remains neglected-
Or ignored, like a fool's show.
Where is the voice that longs to speak?
It is trapped in the silence
Of the darkest mass of indifference,
In proclaimed illusion self-righteousness,
It sinks in a sea.
It falls into the abyss.
It is woven in with the web
Of entitlements and arrogance
It remains to be perceived
as worthy as silence.
Only to surface one day, as regret.
