Miles after miles
Wheels smoothing burnt black tar
Where the trees part, creating a window for my gaze
I peaked at the mountains in the distance
And at the curvaceous silhouettes
While the luscious green swayed to the tune of the breeze
Left my window an inch ajar
Freeing the wind, permitting them to kiss my cheek
Only to find the searing heat, slapping.
