A Beauty That Hurts

Breathtaking, between each breath I take in
Beauty with a name
Beyond brittleness it hides in vain

By the blue I sit and-
Before my eyes there lay
Between the self & a blessing
Buoys a boat subtly drifting

Exquisiteness that left me wondering
For even words have failed me,
Mayan men docking beside
Siesta they way,
Submitting to slumber-
Escaping daylight

How fragile my soul feels,
Your eminence overwhelms me
Submerging my thoughts into this lake,
Embracing freedom I've feared to claim

Breathtaking, between each breath I inhale in
For such beauty with a name,
Lies in a land that veils a pain
From a scarred wound, healing.
