Basket on the bicycle, beating-
Is my heart drowned in cups of caffeine
Feet firm on the pedals, spins-
The chain like my mind, shaky.
Basket on the bicycle, my burden-
Follows to No Man's Land, in obscurity
Gripping palms on the handles, dents skin on my fists-
Metal chains like my heartbeat clinking.
Basket on the bicycle stuck to the back of my seat,
Like these discomfort and bitter strain of my muscle-
It aches, ashamed, outside and within.
For I pedal with my feet and clench handles in my hands,
To ease and seek, to divert in guilt
